"Prospect Plan" tab now "Major Giving Plan" tab
You'll notice that the Prospect Plan tab has a new name: Major Giving Plan. All functionality and work processes stay the same - just a new label for this new version of BlackBaud CRM.

New Location of Tabs and Links
As seen in our demos, info sessions, and your test drives - the main difference in the updated version of BlackBaud is a slight different in the user navigation. All business processes remain the same, it is now with a few slight differences in the location of tabs and links. Below are the most important to note:
1. Fewer links appear in the left hand column in order to keep all navigation central in the screen.
2. For each item there is now a more robust "dash board" of important information and links.
Remember, all work steps and processes stay the same. Just the slight change in location of tabs and links.
New Steps: View Individual as part of Group
The new 4.0 version makes it a bit harder to see if someone is part of a group. There used to be a "View as group member" on the left column but now you have to:
2. Then click on the group member tab.
Internet Explorer 11 Settings for Reports
Some reports don't run in Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11). This affects all of the "pretty" reports - like the Pipeline and the Prospect Contact reports.
To determine what version of Internet Explorer you are using:
- From the upper left menu choose Help
- Select "About Internet Explorer" and the window will show the version number.
To enable the "pretty" reports viewer for IE 11, complete the following steps:
- Open IE 11
- Click on the little gear in the top right corner, just under the X that closes the window
- Choose Compatibility View Settings
- Type "blackbaudhosting.com" in the Add this Website box (without the quotes)
- Click the Add button
- Verify that the two checkboxes at the bottom of the window are checked
- Click the Close button
- Close IE 11 so that the settings will take affect.
The next time you open BlackBaud in IE 11, the reports should now display correctly.
New Steps: Exporting reports to Excel
Blackbaud CRM 4.0
Exporting to Excel
There are several reports that do not display the date
format and/or fiscal year properly when you export to excel. As a work around, you can export to CSV and
then save the file as an Excel file. The
data type issues do not appear when you export to CSV first.
After exporting to CSV, you can save the file as an Excel
file by changing the Save as type to Excel:
